EMT-B – Emergency Medical Technician Basic
We offer 3 Classes per year, (Winter, Summer and Fall). Please read the descriptions carefully. All classes will be added to our training calendar, so you can see the days that you will attend.

Summer Class:
Duration: 12 weeks (May-Aug)
Hybrid Class: Classroom and Online
Time: Mondays (5pm-10pm)

Fall & Winter Class:
Duration: 15+ weeks
Hybrid Class: Classroom and Online
Time: Mondays (5pm-10pm)

**CAN NOT miss more than 2 class days to successfully complete course.
Note: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and provide copy of high school diploma or GED.
The EMT-B course is an 150 hour D.O.T Approved E.M.T. Basic Provider Class that will prepare you for the WV or National Registry EMT Basic Exam. EMT-Basic training programs teach students the knowledge and skills to provide basic emergency medical assistance to people in need. Students learn to use emergency medical equipment such as suction mounts, neck immobilizers and splints. The course includes text book, CPR certification and CPR face shield. EMT-Basic training includes:
- *Emergency responsiveness
- *Trauma scenarios
- *Managing respiratory systems
- *Assessing patients
- *Cardiac emergencies
Certification is useful for military service, volunteer fire departments, EMS agencies, hospitals, security agencies and many other employment opportunities. The course fee DOES NOT include testing fees.
